This is not a government office. It cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, release anyone, accept bond, pull an official booking record, correct a sheriff’s file, or give legal advice. Contact the agency that created the record.
BCSO Records and Detention
For a Blaine County booking record or booking photograph, use the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office Records page and current FOIA form. The form asks for a name, date range, location, arresting agency, and the exact record sought. A court case number alone does not identify a BCSO record.
Blaine County Sheriff’s Office
1650 Aviation Drive
Hailey, ID 83333
Main/non-emergency: 208-788-5555
Public Information Officer: 208-788-5536
Detention: 208-788-5564
Use the Records page and FOIA form. The current form does not state a separate counter schedule, so call before visiting. Detention staff and public-records processing are different functions.
Where to Ask for Records
Choose the office by record type. The BCSO form says it cannot supply city-agency, Idaho State Police, or other custodians’ reports. A request sent to the wrong office can delay the answer or produce a denial because the record is not held there.
- Current Blaine custody: use the home page’s BCSO roster and recent-feed path, then call detention for an urgent custody question.
- Hailey incident or arrest report: contact Hailey Police at 311 Cedar Street East, 208-788-3531, or use the city public-record form.
- Ketchum incident after the city police launch: contact Ketchum Police at 208-726-7819 and identify the event date.
- Bellevue incident report: contact the Bellevue Marshal’s Office through City Hall at 208-788-2128 or non-emergency dispatch at 208-578-3831.
- Court case, filing, or disposition: use the Blaine County Courts page and MyCourts, or request a specific document from the Fifth Judicial District.
- State custody or supervision: use the Idaho Department of Correction search or its records portal.
- Federal or immigration custody: use the BOP or ICE locator, or an authorized representative.
Requesting a Booking Photo
Ask BCSO for a “booking record and booking photograph” and include the full name, date range, arresting agency, facility, and BCSO case number if known. Ask whether a fee estimate applies. The county form says Idaho residents generally receive a response in three to ten business days and nonresidents in 21 to 35 business days, subject to mail time, exemptions, redactions, and the current form’s terms.
The county does not publish a fixed booking-photo price. A request may incur fees when research or processing exceeds two hours or copies exceed 100. A pending investigation or adjudication can affect access. A city report and the county booking image may require separate requests.
Release and Court Questions
A release date in the BCSO recent feed describes a custody event, not a court outcome. For the later case, search MyCourts by party or case number. The Fifth Judicial District says a specific filed-document request should identify the case, parties, and document title or date. Its published copy price is $1 per page, plus $1 per document for certification.
For a warrant concern, use the court or counsel. The Most Wanted Fugitives page explains why a roster warrant label is not a complete warrant search and includes the county scam warning.
Corrections and Missing Results
If an official roster or feed entry contains a factual error, preserve the URL and contact BCSO Records or the Public Information Officer with documentation. If the error is in a city report, contact that city custodian. If a copied third-party entry is wrong, use the publisher’s published correction process after confirming the originating record.
A missing online result may reflect release, the rolling feed’s age, a protected record, a system delay, or a record held by another agency. It is not proof that no event occurred. Use a focused written request rather than sending personal information to an unknown archive.
